Jars of saffron in threads are available, starting from 0.3 grams (suitable for 6/8 portions of risotto). For different quantities or gift packages for events (Christmas, baptisms, weddings, etc.), no problem, contact me and we'll find a solution.
I am a small saffron producer from Lozzolo in the province of Vercelli. My cultivation is located in lands dedicated to agricultural production for centuries, which unfortunately have been progressively abandoned in recent decades. My goal is to cultivate a healthy product that respects biodiversity, the territory, and that, in its small way, enhances the other typical productions of the area, starting with rice.

My saffron comes from fields cultivated without the use of synthetic chemical products, both for fertilization and weeding, carried out strictly by hand. The harvesting and sorting of the flowers take place manually in October/November, with immediate drying of the threads in a dedicated oven. Before the final packaging, the product is then "seasoned" for 2/4 months.

Polverizzare o frantumare gli stimmi (20/25 "fili" a persona); porli nel liquido di infusione (un cucchiaio di brodo, acqua o latte a porzione) tiepido per almeno un'ora. Per ottenere una maggiore estrazione prolungare fino a 4 ore. Se si ha tempo, lasciare in infusione per 24 ore in frigo, si otterrà un'estrazione delicata e completa che salvaguarderà tutti i complessi aromi del prodotto.

Add the infusion to the dish at the end of cooking to avoid altering the aromas. The liquid can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours.
